After graduating from King Edward Medical University in Lahore, Pakistan, in 1991, Dr. Shafi completed his residency in internal medicine at Englewood Hospital, which is affiliated with the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Following this, he pursued fellowship training in Nephrology at the University of Louisville School of Medicine in 1997, along with a year of fellowship in critical care at the University of Louisville in Kentucky. Dr. Salako’s outstanding business acumen and visionary leadership have earned him accolades, including being named Person of the Year by the Kidney Community Emergency Response Coalition.
Dr. Umair Haider is an accomplished professional with a wide-ranging background in management, particularly within the healthcare sector in Pakistan. As the General Manager of DCC Consultants since 2022, Dr. Haider’s leadership has been instrumental in the company’s growth and expansion. He was integral in establishing the organization, expanding its teams, and setting up the offshore office of Dialysis Care Center and Kidney Care Center in Pakistan. Under his guidance, DCC Consultants has witnessed significant growth, boasting a workforce of over 100 employees within a few years.
Dr. Haider brings a wealth of experience to his role, having previously served as the Operations Manager for DCC Consultants and as the Chief Operating Officer for the Infection Prevention and Control Foundation.
